Kingston upon Thames (UK) indie-rock band Y G H D (pronounced ‘younghood’) have already released their classy single ‘Velvet’ – with it’s fiery guitars, simpering voice and rattling-good rhythms – this song has a significantly stimulating chorus.

Now, the band are set to release their next single ‘White Eyes’ –

We had a first listen:

This number is bubbling and rolling.

With some excellent guitar motifs, and a pace that is rhythmically inventive.

The voice is buoyant, strong and beckoning – although the lyrical content remains melancholy.

But you won’t be saddened by things – because this song leads you towards an optimistic future without too much fuss.

Slick and powerful indie-rock with a rich voice, fast guitars and an aching heart – best of all… this leads happily to an openly fabulous climax.
